The Scotted Line

(not just any line will do...)

A long time ago, during my Cretaceous Period, I was in a writing group called Pilgrimage. We'd get together every Saturday night to exchange and critique short stories and book chapters. One of the nearly sacrosanct rules of the charter was that every critique had to be written down so as not to force any one writer to try to remember what the other nine writers had to say about their work. Certainly we did not gather just to hand over pages; after each member covered their high and lowlights, there was a (largely lively) group discussion.

At the time, most -- if not all -- of my fellow Pilgrims had, or had had jobs in the field of technical writing; they were computer magicians. A fair number of them had adroitly employed their talents and skills to produce their own personal stationeries, some of them cleverly using their names in the design of their headers. Despite my distinct lack of both talent and skill in this arena, I decided I needed to get in on that action.

And by now you can see what I came up with.

Of course, my header said A Scotted Line, not The Scotted Line, what with each usage of the stationery representing one scotted line among many scotted lines.

And now, since you're here, I can confirm for you that you have found the official repository of all things that can be considered scotted. And lined.

Welcome.
